I've been spinning tunes for over 12 years now. Starting with a pair CDJ 100s, and a Numark 2-channel mixer in front of patient mates. It quickly progressed to small, then large house parties. I played at a few bars in South East Asia while travelling, and then after a break to settle my roots down in the NZ soil, I got back into the art through controllerism.
A few Sunday Sessions, the odd birthday party and then finally a club night at the end of 2013 thanks to two amazing fellas (Marco De Veagh & Dan Bayton) who heard a few tracks I was warming up with.
That invitation to try out for Eclipse could not have meant more. Finally, a club night where I could play the tunes I wanted, instead of the mainstream stuff so many occasions demanded. Heaven.
"Got anything commercial?"
"No." :D
A long and winding road indeed, but it's always had one common theme - playing music for my friends, my family, strangers, in fact anyone who'd listen.
My sounds are eclectic. Deep, dirty basslines are a definite theme. Always funky, often dark, but brimming with soul. I play all sorts on my journeys, not alway sure where it's going, but it's a fun ride. I call it Green House.
So get into a green frame of mind, have a listen to the tracks here on the site, and if you like what you hear, then please let me know, and tell a friend or two.
Enjoy.
